Morocco - Jebel Sahro & the Draa Valley (Cycling 8 days)
Riding Morocco's exotic south, through the spectacular Draa Valley, the lunar landscape of the Jebel Sahro and the dunes of the Sub-Sahara. This is our least-demanding Moroccan off road trip and you don't have to be an expert biker to enjoy it. The landscape here is one of superb scenic contrast.
We ride through the date palms and lush oases of the Draa Valley, the imposing volcanic gateway of Bab'n'Ali, the stunning Atlas Mountains and even visit the edge of the Sahara with its impressive sand dunes. We'll also witness the traditional way of life, passing isolated Berber settlements where nomads tend their herds of goats, and ride through numerous villages with mud-brick houses and ancient kasbahs. The riding itself is exciting, but not too long or technical, making this the ideal introduction to off road biking in Morocco.
- Day 1: Start Ouarzazate.
- Day 2: Riding from Tizi-n-Tinnififft we start with some descent. The day is spent riding past lush palmeries and isolated villages to Agdz.
